История постепенно становится сложнее. Не тест и не оценка — просто способ заметить, на каком английском читать уже легко, а где хочется остановиться и подумать.
Emma is in a small café. She has a blue notebook and a cup of tea. A boy at the next table asks, “Is this seat free?” Emma smiles and says, “Yes, it is.” They start to talk.
The boy’s name is Leo. He is visiting the city for the weekend, but he does not know where to go. Emma tells him about a colourful street market near the river. Leo likes the idea and asks how to get there.
When the rain starts, Leo’s plans suddenly become less certain. Instead of going home, Emma suggests that they walk to the market together and share her umbrella. On the way, they compare their favourite places and discover that they both enjoy finding unusual cafés.
As they cross the old bridge, Leo admits that he normally avoids conversations in English because he worries about making mistakes. Emma tells him that confidence rarely appears before a conversation; it develops while we keep listening, responding and trying to express what we mean.
By the time they reach the market, what began as a hesitant exchange between two strangers has turned into an animated conversation. Leo realises that fluency is not the absence of imperfect sentences, but the willingness to remain curious and engaged even when the exact words take a moment to arrive.
